Amid the Snow

Amid the Snow is a two-color, corrugated-rib pattern with a few simple left-cross and right-cross cables thrown in for interest. It is a fun knit that is worked entirely in the round with no seaming. Instructions are both written and charted. The height of the hat is easily altered by working more or less rounds.

Yarn 65 (80, 105, 125, 135, 145, 155) yds of DK weight yarn in Color A
50 (65, 85, 100, 110, 115, 120) yds of DK weight yarn in Color B

Yellow and gray hat shown in Adult L using Rohrspatz and Wollmeise Merino DK in 47 Ag (Color A) and Zarte Knopse (Color B)

Red and gray/blue hat shown in Adult L using Spirit Trail Fiberworks Birte in Dark-Eyed Junco (Color A) and Bog Cherry (Color B)

Sizes Fits head circumference up to 15 (17.5, 19.25, 20.5, 21.75, 23, 24.25)“

Gauge 26 sts by 30 rounds = 4 inches in Two-Color Rib Pattern Unstretched on US 6

22 sts by 30 rounds = 4 inches in Two-Color Rib Pattern Stretched on US 6

I tend to be a tighter knitter in the round, so you may find that a US 5 may also work to achieve gauge.
