I love sending yarn to designers and then waiting to see what they come up with. Sometimes I am asked for input and sometimes it’s just a fun surprise. I had a happy realization a few days ago — a few patterns were recently released (and some will be out soon!) that cover you in Marianated Yarns from head to toe!
Katy Carroll from Katinka Designs is releasing the Millcreek Canyon Hat in mid-April. It’s knit in Playtime Worsted with a pom pom on top!
She also designed the Pero Shawl, which was released today. The photos were taken on the Salt Flats in Utah — one of the places to visit on my bucket list.
Julie Hart’s Crossing Over cowl features cables and lace with garter stitch ridges. It’s knit with either one skein of Playtime DK or a gradient set of Jujubee DK minis.
Sheila Stromberg released the Oliviana Cardigan knit in Playtime DK with Jujubee DK minis for adorable ruffles. The pattern is sized from baby to 16 years old.
I love sock knitting, so I was especially excited when Sarah Jordan designed her Undamo Socks with Practicality 75/25 and a contrasting Marianette for a little bit of stranded colorwork.
There are more designs in the works and I’m excited to see what comes out next.
