Bristol Ivy has just released a new pattern using our Alpaca/Silk Sport yarn. Rillmark is started as a traditionally constructed pi shawl, with lace and texture elements inspired by the place where the water meets the shore. After the body is complete, the asymmetrical border is worked using simple lace and increases. Using less than 600 yards of sportweight yarn, it’s a quick and fun knit for an elegant finished shawl.
The yarn for this project is available for pre-order in the Skeinny Dipping shop! Alpaca/Silk Sport is an exquisite blend of 80% superfine alpaca and 20% silk. All the yarn is in stock. Knitters just need to select the number of skeins (all of two were used for this project, but you can order an extra to prevent Yarn Chicken!) and what colorway they would like. Free shipping in the US, and a shipping discount equal to the cost of domestic shipping is given to international customers. The pattern is available on Ravelry.
Lots of new yarn has just been added to the shop! Use code UNTANGLED10 for 10% off of your order, no minimums (expires on January 23 and can’t be used on pre-orders). If you don’t find exactly what you’re looking for, don’t worry! The pre-order event is on, starting today. Lots of info including pricing, bases and whatnot are available here in the SkeinnyDippers ravelry group. A Pre-Order Event is your chance to get that one special skein (or ten) in that favorite color of yours on that base that you reeeally want. Just email me, PM me at Ravelry (I’m heidelblogknits there), or convo me at the Etsy shop before noon on the 23rd of this month and I will do my best to make your wish come true.
I’ll be having an update tomorrow, Saturday August 23 at 11 am at the Etsy shop. I have two new yarns for the offering: a Silk and Linen lace and an MCN Lace.
I will also be having another pre-order event in September. Pre-Orders are a great time to get a sweater quantity, or that specific yarn in a specific color. There are no minimum orders so even if you just want one skein you can get that one skein.
There’s been some new stuff popping up over at Skeinny Dipping — spinning fiber! But in case you don’t spin, there’s lots of yarn in the shop, too. And if you’ve been wanting a certain sweater quantity or a certain colorway on a specific base, you’ll be thrilled to know there’s a Spring Pre-Order event going on now through Monday, June 9th. Info is over at the Skeinny Dippers group on Ravelry (won’t you join us?).
