Hatter’s Right Eye

I was inspired by the movie poster for the “Alice Through The Looking Glass” to add this skein of yarn to the April flavors.

I was drawn to the Mad Hatter’s eyes. I dyed this Wonderful 100’s, a fingering weight made of 70% Merino/30% silk, to represent his right eye. This will pair well with the mini skein “Hatter’s Left Eye,” among other new flavors that I dyed up for the Month of April.

Hatter’s Right Eye has 100 yards of fabulous yarn for that project that just needs a 100 yards. Give a funky look to a cuff or heel of your socks, part of a granny square project, or even combine them together for a one-of-a-kind hat!

I make small batches of each colorway. By using this process, I am able to make sure the yarn colorway is consistent. This keeps each batch more unique to use for your project. Make sure to purchase enough for your project (at one time) or place a custom order of the colorway you like. Remember there will be variations within with each dye batch.

March Phat Fiber – Wizard of Oz

Now available on Etsy are combo packs of the samples I did for the Phat Fiber Sampler Box for March 2016. Wizard of Oz is this month’s theme. My inspiration was Dorthy’s Dress, The Yellow Brick Road to Oz and a combo of the Ruby Slippers and the Tin Man’s Heart.

The yarn is 100% Peruvian Highland wool with 200 yards per 100-gram skein. These mini skiens of fingering-weight yarn are great for the hexipuffs for the Beekeeper’s Quilt.

About my shop
I started to experiment dying with Kool Aid with plain wool yarn I bought at a local store. In July 2012 and got hooked on dying yarn. I take pride in the bold color combinations I come up with that will look great in any yarn project. I believe my store is different from others because I am making items that can be used not only by knitters, crocheters but other artists.

This yarn is great for making projects for babies and children and not exposing them to the chemicals of acid dyes. Each batch of yarn is dyed by hand with Kool-Aid and vinegar, and is heat treated to set the color (I cold water rinse after dying).

I make small batches of each colorway. This keeps each batch that more unique to use for your project. Variations exist with each dye batch. Please make sure you order enough yardage for your project at the same time.
