What to stash this week, ’cause it’s spring!

Sorbet-EW

Those of you not lucky enough to be Maryland bound this weekend can find solace in some really great stashing opportunities online.

First, an update from The Uncommon Thread TODAY at 4 p.m. BST. Two new colorways, including the delicious Sorbet (pictured), as well as a new base, will be included.

No need to be bummed that Monday’s coming. Two if By Hand, fresh from the DFW Fiber Fest, will be having a shop update on Monday at 7 p.m. CST. In addition to the regular shop update, they will also be putting all older shop fibers and yarns on sale for 10% off!

Dirty Water DyeWorks is continuing to roll out new springy colorways. Julia, a silky superwash Merino/Tencel blend with excellent drape and shimmer, comes in so many calming hues.

Speaking of calming, Inner Yarn Zen has a new kit for sale on Etsy. It features an exclusive pattern by Katie Degroff, a custom lotion bar scent from new Indie Untangled vendor Kamalei’s Naturals, as well as a few other extra treats tucked in.

Pastel swirl buttons, available in four super-springy pastel colors from Fastenation Studio, are on sale this month for $2.25 per 2-button set (originally $3.75). No coupon code needed.

Canon Hand Dyes of Portland, Ore., one of my favorite cities, specializes in self-striping yarns and mini-skein sets with a literary twist. If you didn’t already know, I am SO looking forward to dyer Amy Lee’s Wes Anderson-themed yarns. (I also love this recent SNL digital short almost as much as I loved The Royal Tenenbaums.)

Caterpillargreen Yarns is based out of lovely Vancouver Island, BC, and creates self-striping, dyed-to-order yarns in a luxurious Merino/Cashmere blend. For very hungry caterpillars (big feet, knee-high socks) there are extra-large, 170-gram skeins and there are also mini-skein accents for sock toes, heels, etc.

Somewhere over in the UK there’s some rainbow madness going on. Cuddlebums recently launched its Little Rainbows collection. The shop runs monthly Market Nights with ready-to-go stock and also takes custom orders.
