I know we say this every year, but the holidays have snuck up on me. It seems like only yesterday I was lighting the first menorah candle (from left to right, because my childhood with an electric menorah that we displayed in the window didn’t prepare me well for lighting actual candles…). Since Hanukkah was early this year, my newsletter giveaway doesn’t overlap with both winter holidays, but I hope you’ll appreciate the sentiment just the same. And by sentiment, I mean free yarn.
I’m holding this week of giveaways to thank my wonderful newsletter subscribers, who read my weekly emails in spite of guilt about the ever-growing yarn stash (trust me, I get it). Actually, one of my New Year’s resolutions is to cover more interesting knitting- and fiber-related stories on the IU blog, so subscribers will get that in their inbox, along with discovering new indies and keeping track of all the shop updates and special promotions going on.
Here are the rules: Sign up for the Indie Untangled newsletter by 9 p.m. EST and you will be eligible to win that day’s prize (anyone already on the mailing list is entered to win). After 9 p.m., I’ll pick a winner via random number generator and send out an email. The winner will arrange shipment with the dyer/artisan. The grand prize will be a package of knitting stocking stuffers (with yarn, of course) that I will ship out to the winner. All items have been donated by IU’s fabulous artisans.
PLEASE NOTE: Winners must respond within 48 hours of when the notification email is sent to claim the prize. If not, another winner will be selected.
Here’s the schedule:
December 17: A skein in the colorway of the winner’s choice from SnailYarn
December 18: A skein of Revelry sock yarn in the colorway of the winner’s choice from Circus Tonic Handmade
December 19: A color of the winner’s choice in the Painted Ladies Sock Yarn from Houndstooth Fiber Arts
December 20: A skein in the color of the winner’s choice from JOMA Yarn
December 21: A skein of Superwash Merino/nylon fingering in the colorway Terra Firma from Kim Dyes Yarn
December 22: A skein each of Shangri-La in a Lost City Knits colorway (pictured above) and Lhasa Wilderness in a Lattes & Llamas colorway seen here from Bijou Basin Ranch
December 23: A mystery package of knitting stocking stuffers from a bunch of IU artisans.
