Special collection launching at Indie Untangled

Presenting a capsule collection made exclusively for Indie Untangled — a collaboration between Murky Depth Dyeworks, Hello Mello Handspun and me, designer Paula Pereira.

Pieces

1. Aglae is a circular yoke pullover with, what I like to call, a “petite boxy” shape, where the body has a certain amount of positive ease (not as much as a traditional boxy top) and fitted sleeves. I must say that “petite boxy” is one of my very favorite styles, because it looks beautiful on any body type! I really love it!

The pullover has a textured fabric, created by different combinations of fingering weight and mohair yarns with a slip stitch motif that is very easy to memorize and fun to knit! The back neck is shaped with short rows, for a nice fit.

Aglae is available in nine sizes:

Finished Size
33 ¼ (37 ¼, 41 ¼, 45, 49 ¼) (52 ¼, 56 ½, 60 ¾, 65)” / 84 (95, 104.5, 114.5, 125) (132.5, 144, 154, 165) cm bust circumference.

Ease between 2 ¼ and 3 ½ ”/ 5.5 and 8.5 cm.

To fit bust size range 30 (34, 38, 42, 46) (50, 54, 58, 62)” / 76 (86.5, 96.5, 106.5, 117) (127, 137, 147.5, 157.5) cm – XS (S,

2. Yabel is a rounded / circular yoke pullover that also has a “petite boxy” shape. The stranded colorwork stitch motif at the yoke and sleeves is rich in texture because of the yarn: a single ply fingering, sock with silver sparkle and mohair!

For a contemporary look, the sleeves are shaped to create a bishop / balloon style. The back neck is shaped with short rows for a great fit.

Yabel is available in 9 sizes (details below)

3. Yullana is a cropped pullover, with texturized stitch motif at the front central panel and sleeves, created with simple knit and purl stitches, and bobbles. With a flair of peasant blouses, Yullana has bishop/balloon sleeves in smaller proportions, for a contemporary look.

I like to think this pullover has the characteristics of an all-day piece, with some cute and stylish details! I hope Yullana pullover becomes one of your favorite handknits!

4. Ambara is an elongated triangular shawl, knitted from the top down, back and forth. Worked over four sets of Right and Left Wing Charts, Ambara alternates different stitch motifs knitted with two colors of Merino fingering single-ply as well as kid mohair silk yarn and, sometimes, both held together. The effect resultant of those variations is a textured fabric with a little transparency between curvy motifs.

One thing I do love about shawls and wraps (and I hope you do too!) is they are reversible! After all, those pieces are made to casually be thrown in our outfits, adding that special detail to the overall look! All this coolness does not match the worry to have to be checking if we are wearing it at the correct side, right?! And even better if we can add different yarns to make the reversibility even more interesting!

5. Diamond socks and/or slippers is a great pattern for beginners! Knitted from the toe up to the cuff, Diamond has a fun to knit geometric stitch motif, where small diamonds creates a big one, and most of the fabric is worked circular in stockinette stitch. The pattern is adjustable and you can try as you knit, as we can do with top down sweaters!

I hope you enjoy and have a fun knitting time with Diamond socks and/or slippers!
