Cyber Week Specials

Hope everyone is having a great holiday week. I’m celebrating my first Thanksgiving as an indie dyer this year! I’m so excited and thankful to have been able to start this business.

Here are the specials going on in my shop:
*Free shipping on all U.S. orders for the rest of 2018
*Use the code SWEATERWEATHER10 to get 10% off orders of $75 or more – code valid through Nov. 30, 2018
*On Friday only – for every skien of yarn purchased, you will receive a 20g surprise mini skein!

Also, I am so excited to offer my first ever mystery clubs on Black Friday. I will have two clubs available. One will be The Doctor’s Christmas Club and is inspired by the Christmas Special “The End of Time,” which features my favorite doctor. The other mystery club will be A Very Hogwarts Christmas and is inspired by the coolest house elf, Dobby! These will both be offered as either a 100g skein or a 100g skein plus coordinating 20g mini skein. Both clubs will be dyed on my Clover base which is a super duper soft blend of super wash merino and nylon. They will ship out on or before December 7 so you will have these in time for your Christmas Eve cast on.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season!

Shop Update & New Colorways

Hi everyone! Hope you are all having an awesome fall season. I know I am loving the chance to wear all of my hand knits. I have some really great sweater yarn, it is so soft and cozy, and I have been knitting a ton of sweaters lately.

I updated my shop this week and there are lots of yarns and colors to choose from. Lots of sweaters quantities available on my Clover fingering weight and my Worsted Merino bases. The Clover base is 85% SW Merino and 15% nylon and is so soft and lovely. The worsted weight is 100% SW merino and again, it is super soft and cozy. I also have some great MCN yarn available in a variety of colorways.

There’s lots of fall- and winter-inspired colors in this update. I have really been wanting to use tonals lately so I have some nice red, green, blue, brown and plum tonals that would be great for any project.

Please check it out and thank you so much for supporting my shop. It really has been a dream of mine for some time now and I am so happy to be finally starting this new chapter in my life.

Hand dyed yarns inspired by my life on a farm in rural Tennessee

Hi! I am Shauna and am the dyer behind Farm Girl Fibers. I started dyeing yarns in 2017 for myself and then this summer (2018) I decided to add hand dyed yarns to my shop. My family and I live on my husband’s family farm in Alpine, Tennessee. We are located about 100 miles northeast of Nashville in the Upper Cumberland area of middle Tennessee. So many of my colorways are inspired by nature and my life on a farm. My dream is to take my fiber business and turn it into a full-time career. I love creating and making things. So when I get to spend a day playing with dyes and colors to see what combinations I end up with, I just feel so fulfilled by the end of the day.

I had my first trunk show last month and had such a blast that day. So am looking forward to many more trunk shows and fiber festivals. Right now I am getting ready for Fiber in the Boro in Murfreesboro next month and hope to meet lots of yarn loving people there. The fiber community has been so supportive and I just love seeing how caring and supportive people are. I am so glad I found this community because it has really gave me the courage to start making my dream of owning a business a reality.

So many indie dyers. One email.
