When Hobbies Collide

Have you ever matched your knitting to a project bag? Have you ever bought yarn based on your favorite movie or holiday? Ever posted a picture on instagram of your coordinating mug, tea, yarn and book? I feel you! We crafters love a good crossover, right? Well, for all you crafters that, like me, are also avid readers I am thrilled to announce the pre-order for my limited-edition colorway inspired by Jodi Picoult’s latest novel “Spark of Light.” (Full disclosure: Jodi is my sister-in-law and graciously allows me to turn her books into yarn.) Last year I released a limited-edition colorway for the debut of her musical “Between the Lines,” and you may not know that my popular Storyteller colorway is based on her novel of the same name.

Pre-Orders for the “Spark of Light” colorway will go live on my website at 10am EDT on Saturday, 8/25 and will remain open until Monday 8/27 at 10am EDT or until they sell out. You will be able to choose either my Fuse Merino Singles or Fuse Sock base and all orders will ship on or before September 25th, in time for the book’s launch on October 3rd. The colorway is a surprise, but it will include all of the beautiful colors from the book cover. The best part is every purchase automatically enters you for a chance to win a SIGNED hard copy of the book!! The book deals with issues surrounding reproductive rights in America, so I feel it’s fitting to donate $5.00 of each skein sold to Planned Parenthood in support of women’s access to healthcare. “Spark of Light” is a limited-edition colorway and will not be dyed again, so make sure to get yours during the update this weekend!

Saturday’s update will also include sweater quantities of my Fuse Luxury Fingering base. For this update I focused on neutrals and colors that can be combined to make the perfect Rhinebeck sweater. The yarn combos in the above photos are: 1) River and Verdigris as seen in @knitosophy’s gorgeous Shusui Shrug. 2) Brooklyn Heights and Hinterland. 3) Smokey Eye and Dusk. 4) Black Pearls and Fairy House.

As always, thank you so much for browsing my shop giving my yarn a try!!!

Indie Dyer Pop-Up Event in CT

I am so excited to announce that Gabby from Once Upon a Corgi and I will be having a Pop-Up Shop and knit night at my studio in Avon, CT, on February 10th from 5-9 p.m. and YOU are all invited! There will be yarn to squish and purchase, wine and snacks, and space to sit and knit with fiber friends.

We will also have a special guest: Audrey the CORGI!! Could there be a better combination than yarn and Corgis??

But, wait! There’s more! Some of the other artist studios in my building will be open for you to check out as well. Gabby and I have even collaborated with one of the painters, Christy Corey, and created exclusive colorways based on one of her paintings. You’ll have the chance to see behind the scenes of not only my dye studio, but painters and potters as well.

We hope you can join us for this special evening! Please check my website for links to the exact address in the Events tab on the homepage.

New Website!

Fuse Fiber Studio has launched a new website! New Fingering and DK yarns are in stock now! Shop updates are announced on Instagram @fusefiberstudio.

I’m Rebecca Picoult, the owner/dyer behind the brand, and I love playing with unique and unexpected color combinations and treat each skein of yarn that I dye like its own work of art. My colors are always based on things that have special meaning for me — places I’ve traveled, my favorite books, funny family memories and my favorite things in nature. Every color tells a story. My goal as a dyer is for people to find something in my colors that resonates with them and sparks their own happy memories and feelings.

We hope you find something that speaks to you, and helps you tell your story! Happy Knitting!
