Elements Yarn Club

  • Water with ripples and a reflection.

Hi. I’m Christy from Les Belles Lainages and I’m so excited to introduce my new yarn club called Elements. I just concluded my Advent calendar and had so much fun I decided to keep going. Here’s how it will work:

I’m calling it Elements because I’ve taken beautiful photos from the four elements — Air, Water, Earth and Fire — to use as inspiration. I always love seeing a person’s interpretation of color from a photo brought to life in fiber and thought you might like it, too. It will run for four months and each month subscribers will receive two full skeins of yarn, one variegated/speckled and one coordinating tonal/solid, along with a fun little gift. The yarn will be extra fine Merino, which is some of the softest yarn commercially available, and fingering weight, but there will also be a surprise in there as well… you might just find some mohair mixed in in some capacity.

Subscriptions are currently open and will run through January 10 or they sell out, whichever comes first. Orders will begin shipping on the 20th of each month and run through April.

On another note, we’re having a site-wide sale until December 23 so pop over and take a look! I’ve added some fun OOAK colorways as well as some three- and four-skein fades.

Warmly,
Christy

Meet Les Belles Lainages

  • Fuchsia and purple yarn.

Hi! I’m new to Indie Untangled and wanted to take this first post as an opportunity to introduce myself and my sweet little Etsy shop. My name is Christy Landry and I’m the founder, head dyer, packer, shipper and overall general flunky at Les Belles Lainages. Phonetically that’s pronounced: lay bell leh-nahj and the French to English translation means “the beautiful woolens”. I dye ethically produced, mostly all natural fibers in varying weights and blends. I gravitate towards bright, bold, fun speckles and variegated color ways as those make me the most happy but occasionally you’ll find comforting earthy tones as well. I’m not opposed to any color and take custom requests if you’re looking for something specific that you just can’t find anywhere else. I’m so enjoying working in this fiber field as many of my customers are quickly becoming cherished friends, so if you feel like chatting, reach out… I’m here for ya!

I have so much in mind for the coming year. I’ve just closed out my first ever advent calendar and it’s been a blast putting it together with all the new color ways and extra goodies that it’s motivated me to start thinking about doing a yarn club. I’m still working through the details (I’m open to any and all suggestions) but hope to start offering options by mid December.

I’ve also just done a quick update with several fun sock kits if anyone is looking for gift suggestions for fiber friends.

Thanks for listening. It’s nice to meet you! Pop over and visit the shop or say hello on Instagram.

Warmly,
Christy @ LBL
