What to stash this week: Seas and sales

I was thrilled when Nikki of New Zealand-based Dark Harbour Yarns finally posted on the Marketplace about her most recent update, which is also her last of the year. It includes some gradient sets and kits for the Vexillology shawl from fellow IU artisan Mitenae. You definitely need to act quick on this one, as the Yarn Hoars have already descended.

Untangling-Snap-Grey-and-Aqua

In time for the holidays, I’ve stocked the Indie Untangled/That Clever Clementine shop with logo bags and Snapdragon notions pouches, a fabric yarn bowl and a few products with the exclusive Untangling kit fabric. There’s a Loopy Lulu bag and two different Untangling Snapdragons, all ready to ship. I’ve also decided to keep the excitement of Black Friday going, and I’m offering free U.S. shipping on bag orders of $75 or more!

Casapinka’s Boomerangles give you a couple of options for easy, satisfying shawls with a unique construction: Half is a boomerang in stripes, while the other half is an elongated triangle in simple slipped stitches and stockinette, with a picot edge on the top of the garter portion. There’s the Boomeranglet and the full-sized Boomerangle. Both use three different colors of sock yarn and are perfect for leftovers.

New-Babs-Instagram-B

What’s better than seven new hand-dyed colorways from Miss Babs? Getting it on sale, of course! These new, limited-edition colorways are available on Bijou Basin Ranch’s Tibetan Dream, a luxurious fingering-weight blend of Yak and nylon, which can be used to knit Laura Chau’s new Odyssey Cowl. Through Dec. 24 there is free U.S. shipping and 15% off all regular-priced items with coupon code YULE2015.

The new Gringolet Cowl continues on KarenDawn Designs’ Round Table theme and is inspired by the knight Gawain’s faithful horse. Knit appropriately in the round, it combines increases and decreases to create geometric shapes, including a central stitch pattern that resembles horseshoes. The sample uses YOTH Yarns Little Brother, while the pattern requires 400 yards of fingering-weight yarn.

Kettle_Yarn_Co_knitting_gift

I’m sure you know a gin-loving knitter, and here’s the perfect gift for them: Linda of Kettle Yarn Co. has put together kits with a handmade Gin & Tonic project bag, a project bag tag and a 100g skein of Twist fingering, a bouncy British BFL that’s available in five coordinating colors. You can also upgrade the kit with a handmade, fair trade white brass Ewe shawl pin for the ultimate knitter’s gift.

MyFavoriteThingsYarnClub

Yarn is certainly one of MY favorite things. If it’s yours, check out the Invictus Yarns Favorite Things Yarn Club. You’ll get a skein of yarn each month that will be exclusive to club members for at least one year. There will be KALs and chances to win prizes in the Invictus Yarns Ravelry group. Once you subscribe, you will be billed monthly and membership will continue until you cancel or the club ends.
