Participating Vendors

I’ll be traveling to New Orleans with a selection of hand-dyed yarn and unique accessories, including bags and earrings, from a variety of indie brands.

Stacie of Baahumble has been crocheting for about nine years, but realized that the tools of the trade seemed to be lacking in creativity and is working to change that. She designs custom notions and maker friendly tools out of her NOLA-based studio and is inspired by the world around her from the places she’s traveled, holidays, nature, and even her home town of New Orleans.

Newly-married Micah and Benjamin Key are the owners of Baton Rouge-based Fleur De Stitch’d. Micah, who learned to crochet in her late teens and later picked up knitting, started dyeing yarn in 2019 after noticing the lack of a nearby yarn shop. Micah’s hand-dyed wool and cotton yarn is available in her online store and several LYSs in New Orleans, and she also makes stitch markers. Micah strives to make a difference in the community by teaching kids how to crochet and knit, organizing stitch socials and hosting a fiber festival. Micah hopes that when people meet her, it leaves a positive mark on their life.

Mitchell’s Creations is an indie-dyed yarn company based in Franklinton, Louisiana. Terra dyes Louisiana-inspired colorways and yarn bases in small batches.

Upcycled from vintage knitting needles, each piece of Ness jewelry is unique showing the love and character from generations of previous makers. Ness jewelry and CozyNess Fibers are handmade in Montana and sure to bring happyNess and inspire creativeNess. An LSU alumna, Shannon is excited to bring her art and hand dyed yarn to Louisiana!

Jensen dyes fine yarns with intention — and layers upon layers of color and love — from her home in New Orleans.

Jamie Hoffman creates nature-inspired, size-inclusive knitwear designs in North Alabama.

Robyn dyes her bright colorways, many of which are inspired by the art, history, food and culture of NOLA, in her home studio just outside the city.

Rick, a longtime NOLA resident, creates exceptional, colorful and quality accessories and hand-dyed yarn for knitters, crocheters and fiber artists.

Workshops

A needlepoint canvas depicting New Orleans balconies and a horse-drawn carriage.
A white and pink flower crown.
We’ll be hosting two NOLA-themed craft workshops on Sunday, January 28. You can sign up for one or both and have time for lunch in between at one of the delicious eateries nearby.

The first is a Beginner Needlepoint workshop at Needle Arts, 5301 Canal Blvd. from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Learn this craft with a special NOLA-themed canvas. This class is $50. Class supplies, which is estimated to be an additional $50, must be purchased at the shop.

Also on Sunday, create a headband/fascinator/flower crown to wear to Mardi Gras festivities at NOLA Craft Culture, 127 S Solomon St. from 1:30-3:30 p.m. This class is $100 and includes all supplies.

Workshop space is limited, so make sure to sign up today
