What's in store...
Your timed entry ticket grants access to three open-air, accessible shopping pavilions at HITS on the Hudson, a spacious outdoor venue in the charming town of Saugerties, with the Catskill Mountains as its backdrop.
Browse a juried selection of hand-dyed, handspun and custom-milled yarn, spinning fiber, handmade project bags, stitch markers, jewelry and other accessories from more than 45 fabulous vendors.
When you’re not shopping, settle in and enjoy a fall afternoon on the showgrounds. Grab a bite from local food trucks, relax with live music, and bring your latest WIP to the tented lounge or one of the cozy seating areas throughout the property. Snap some photos, reconnect with fiber friends, and meet new ones as you kick off this magical weekend.
New this year: The Designer Friends Passport! Meet a group of featured designers, collect stamps for your passport, take a Designer Friends Selfie, and enter to win prizes.
Can’t make it in person? You’ll be able to browse products from our vendors from wherever you are via the Indie Untangled online marketplace.
Indie Untangled believes in financial accessibility and is providing assistance to members of our community, so that they can experience the show. You can apply for a grant, or nominate a fellow maker, here.
Garrett & Tamara are a New York-based husband-and-wife musical duo and songwriting team who weave together a curated selection of R&B, contemporary singer-songwriter tunes, jazz standards, and pop classics, rich with two-part vocal harmonies and lush guitar arrangements.
Yarn Saver is an online yarn thrift store offering secondhand skeins and balls from personal collections, estates and beyond. Originally launched as a destash project, it has grown into a dedicated platform where fiber enthusiasts can both buy and sell yarn easily.

Explore Knitting Tours is a fiber-focused travel company, launched in 2024 by Rhode Island-based knitting instructor and knitwear designer Marny Kindness and tour guide Lynn Ruggieri, a dual citizen of Italy and the U.S. They have organized adventures in Italy, Salem and the UK. Join them on upcoming trips to Copenhagen and Iceland.
Knitty City is a yarn shop located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Founded by Pearl Chin in 2006, it is devoted to beautiful materials for knitting and crochet, instructional classes and community connection.
Boston Fiber Company is a community-focused, queer-owned yarn shop. It opened in 2022 and specializes in indie-dyed yarns, and strives to source from queer-, women- and BIPOC-owned businesses.
Murky Depths Dyeworks is a small batch, hand-dyed yarn company based in Esopus, New York, and New York City. Dyer Debbie specializes in sophisticated solids and blended variegated colorways with layers of depth and intensity.
Modern Daily Knitting is an online knitting community and resource founded by Ann Shayne and Kay Gardiner. It offers daily stories, patterns, and inspiration for knitters of all levels.
The Perfect Blend Yarn & Tea Shop, located in the village of Saugerties — not far from where our event is taking place! — is a cozy spot for yarn, tea and friendship.
Knit the Rainbow is a nonprofit dedicated to providing handmade knit and crochet winter protective garments to homeless LGBTQ+ youth in New York City. Since launching in 2020, the organization has collected and distributed more than 7,500 garments.
