Connected is named for what you see when you look at it: a chain of triangles, each one touching the next, cascading in scarlet down the front of a heather grey tank.
It’s worked bottom-up and seamed, in cashmere lace held at fingering weight. The colorwork sits stranded across the chest, and you finish it off with an I-cord bind-off along the hem instead of a plain edge.
Fit is close. Give it 0 to 2 inches of negative ease and let the fabric skim instead of hang. Eleven sizes cover a 28 to 64 inch bust, so there’s room to actually get the fit right.
Wear it on its own in the heat, or layer it under something with sleeves once the sun drops. Either way, that scarlet chain down the front does the talking.
