For the love of stripes & cables!

  • A knit shawl in gold, magenta and brown draped over a dress form showcasing a cable down the spine and along the border.
  • A collage of photos showing knit accessories in various colors.
  • Close-up of a cable border and stripes of a triangular shawl in magenta, brown, and gold.

Sharing a latest release… the Marmalade Shawl! Marmalade is a basic triangular-shaped shawl that is perfect for a beginner knitter with a little cable experience or for those wanting to try a simple cable. The shawl may be striped as per the pattern, use fewer colors, or more, or even just one. The pattern is perfect for using up scraps, too!

Marmalade uses fingering held double as well as single fingering held with a double strand of mohair to create a luxurious cloud of stitches to wrap yourself in coziness. The sample was knit in Dapper Dye Works’ Lustre and Foxy bases.

A little about the sample yarn:
Dapper Dye Works Lustre (100% Superwash Merino, 437 yd/400 m, 100 g) in (held double):

C1 Fields of Gold 215 yds / 197 m
C2 About Last Night 187 yds / 171 m
C3 Bronzed Barrel 68 yds / 62 m
C4 Marmalade Sun 107 yds / 98 m

And held with Dapper Dye Works Foxy (72% Mohair, 28% Silk, 455 yds / 416 m, 50 g) in Marmalade Sun. Pattern uses 373 yds/341 m.
