I’m brand new to Indie Untangled, so let me introduce myself. I’m Brandy, the one-women indie dyer behind Long Dog Yarn. I specialize in spectacularly speckled yarns with complimentary bright tonal colorways. Long Dog Yarn was started just about a year ago while I was finishing my PhD at the University of Toronto, but recently my husband and I, along with our “long dog,” a dachshund named Rufus, just relocated to Los Angeles after we both finished our degrees. Now I’ve set up in our big new kitchen to dye, dye, dye and continue growing the business.

Socks make the perfect portable summer knitting project and my Sock sets, which include a full 100g skein of speckled Sock yarn + a 20g mini skein in your choice of complimentary color for working heels/toes/cuffs, are perfect for on-the-go knitting.
