Single Sheep is Here!

We spent an entire year growing it, then waited between four months for it to come back from the mill, but the 2016 batch of Single Sheep is finally here! This American-grown, Corriedale Cross yarn is a 100% wool single-ply fingering weight yarn with a luminosity that will make your head spin! Every hand-dyed, semi-solid skein literally glows in the sunlight. There’s absolutely nothing on the market like it. Each skein weighs in at 400 yards per 100 grams, and this is a perfect yarn choice for fingering weight garments and accessories. Guilty secret: I dyed up a sweater’s worth of it for myself and have already squirreled it away for my November sweater cast-on. If you are interested in a sweater’s worth for yourself, please contact me for a custom order. I am only dyeing and listing this limited quantity base in small batches.

This year’s colorways include: Blackberry Moonshine, Butternut, Cypress, Green Apple, Tickle Me, Blue Spruce, Coal Dust, Autumn Sky, Stormy Afternoon, Crocus, Rain Barrel, and Natural. We also have a few skeins remaining of our 2015 run in Still Waters.

On a side note, Cedar Hill Farm Co. will have a booth at Fiber in the Boro in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on Saturday, October 22nd. If you are in the area, we hope you’ll stop by and say “hey!’

So many indie dyers. One email.
