Two new yarn colorways at Fiberdog Fibers!

  • A set of four pictures showing the transformation from raw white locks of wool to a washed cloud of fiber to an un-dyed skein of yarn and finally two skeins of yarn dyed red and black.
  • A skein of black yarn with red sequences.
  • A skein of black yarn with orange sequences.
  • A braid of purple and white fiber, placed in the form of a wheel.

Happy February!

In this month’s update at Fiberdog Fibers (coming to you on Friday, February 4th 2022 at 12 a.m. Eastern) I am very pleased to introduce two new yarn colorways: Red Stars and Orange Stars. They are both made from the same Corriedale fleece that I washed, combed, spun and dyed myself. One of the pictures shows the various steps the wool went through in my hands.

Here are the details of the yarn:

– 270 – 290m (295 – 317 yards)
– 105g (3.7oz)
– Weight: Sport (17 WPI), category 2 (light)
– 100% wool (Corriedale)
– $35 per skein

In addition to these two exciting new colorways, I’ve also restocked some fiber for spinning: Purple Clouds is back! It is made from the same fleece as the yarn above, but has been carded, not combed and blended with a bit of rayon (bamboo).

Enjoy your crafts!
