Meet the Pacific Grove Shawl.
As a young lieutenant in the Air Force, I was absolutely spoiled to be stationed in the central coast of California for my first assignment, as a student at the Naval Postgraduate School. While there, I met my husband, an Army captain — we sat next to each other in class for almost an entire semester before we worked up the nerve to talk to each other… And I guess you could say, everything else is history! We are celebrating our 10-year anniversary this year and have two cute kiddos who consume all our free time. This shawl would have been perfect for all the cool evenings that we spent walking along the coast in Pacific Grove.
This fingering-weight pattern is full of garter stitch, simple stripes, mosaic colorwork, and finishes with a gorgeous i-cord bind-off. I used La Jolla by Baah Yarn in Blue Winged Teal and Coral Bay, and my testers used some other very unique color combinations if you are looking for inspiration!
