Lisa introduced Huespun in a recent newsletter with an especially apt title, “From community to color,” and I thank her for those succinct words that express how I feel about what I do. Knitting, dyeing, and indeed all crafts and arts, are solitary processes, but there are many joyful, memorable moments when we come together in community to enjoy and share our passions as well. I love when I can involve community, and this is one of those moments that I want to share with you.
My sweet niece is expecting fraternal twin girls and we are all over-the-moon excited! I felt inspired to create a line of baby colours, some traditional pastels and others, more modern, muted, and deeper shades. I’ve played with the yarns and I can’t find a single combination that doesn’t work together. I’d like to say that was intentional, but I think this collection just has good vibes.
