Socktails, Mocktails & Cocktails is a project I am thrilled to share with you and one that I had been thinking about for some time. After reaching out to my friend Inga at Fuzzy Peach Fibers about collaborating on this project, I was so excited when she agreed and we began working on it right away.
The project started with some inspiration photos Inga used to build the color palette. Once the yarn was dyed and shipped — well, you can imagine my exuberant delight as I tore into that box as soon as it arrived! I wasted no time getting started on designing and knitting the samples.
It was not long ago I tried my hand at knitting socks for the first time and discovered what many already knew. Hand-knit socks are satisfying to knit AND especially to wear. There is nothing like treating one of the hardest working parts of our bodies to a pair of hand knit socks.
Each design pairs up with its own mocktail and cocktail recipes. During a knit night, mix up a batch for you and your friends. Or concoct a simple syrup to gift along with its knitted namesake to a sock-worthy recipient. This summer the recipes were tested by some of my nearest and dearest friends – their feedback was so important to making these tasty for you.
