The Redbud tree is the harbinger of spring in my area. Bursting with white, lavender, but predominantly fuchsia blooms, the trees put on quite a show against the otherwise drab, dry, and dormant landscape.
I spotted some on a walk this week — well, they’re not hard to miss! — and was inspired to play with their colours. Fresh from the dye pots, I offer you assigned pooling “Redbuds in Bloom,” a highly tonal speckled “Just the Blossoms, Please,” and a semi-solid “Bark,” all in a gorgeous BFL/silk fingering sock yarn.
