Waxing Moon Shawl – A New Shawl Pattern Perfect for Yarn Advent Calendars

I’m so happy to be finally releasing this pattern I have been working all year! It’s by far the biggest shawl I’ve knit or designed!

Draw on the power of the moon to make the ultimate mini-skein shawl! This pattern is absolutely perfect for Advent calendar or any mini-skein yarn sets. Use 12 20g minis to create a half circle or 24 20g minis to create a full circle. The full circle makes a great cape that drapes wonderfully over your arms. The half circle makes a generous shawl that can be worn over the shoulders or wrapped around your neck. An additional full skein can be used to add an optional lace knitted on border or you can work a twisted edge border as you go. Each wedge of the circle is formed in garter stitch short rows which makes this a relaxing yet engaging knit. This is an extremely versatile pattern with two border options, and four different shawl sizes included.
