Showing Dark Harbour Yarn

It’s coming into spring in the antipodes, and this update has been inspired by light and freedom, after a long wet winter. This time, we’re featuring lots of lovely unicorn fluff colours – pinks, greys and blues. Perfect for garments, or multicoloured shawls, like the current Stephen West knit along, Building Blocks!

Dark Harbour Yarn has been inspired by a few old masters — this week it’s William Morris, and a grey version of his beautiful “Strawberry Thief” fabric. All of these elegant colourways are available now in the shop!

From left to right: Horace, Deep-Blue Chromis, Old Salt, Salacia and Mary Rose

Dark Harbour Yarn is a small indie dye company based in Wellington, New Zealand! Yarns are dyed in small batches, and I focus on achieving deep, layered colours that look stunning in the skein and when knitted up! This update (the last of 2015) features gradient sets — 600m of merino fingering yarn, and kits for Vexillology — a large, dramatic and very wearable shawl, as well as many other lovelies.
