Hello! Somehow I skipped putting a little chat on here for January, the months are a bit of a blur… Nevermind, here we are in mid-February and I hope you are well and being safe. If you pop on over to check out Dragon Thistle Fibers, my shop, you’ll see some pretty mini sets — I carry 10g and 20g mini sets, made up from four to 10 skeins. At the moment all are fingering weight, and I will be putting some worsted-weight minis back in stock soon in the next couple of weeks.

If you use Highland wool in your crafts, I carry worsted weight in beautiful colorways, great for quick mittens, hats, or the bigger projects, like crocheted blankets.

I am a small-and batch dyer, however I do try to have a unique variety for you to choose from, and I also aim to get your order out to you the next business day!

Hello! I’m Gail and Dragon Thistle Fibers is my little corner shop of hand-dyed wool, on Etsy.

At the moment in my shop you’ll fine some Merino/Angora in sets of four 50-gram skeins. This wool is so soft and has a gentle halo form the angora. I am currently knitting with this wool on one of my projects (I have too many!) and it’s coming out lovely.

If you would like pure Highland wool, I have that too in worsted weight. It’s great for blankets, hats and mittens. I do have some that is Superwash and it feels soft.

I add new wool, new colors or repeats each week. So come on over and take a look, you might find a treat for yourself or someone else. 🙂 I do aim to get your orders out the next business day!!
