Showing Hopemade yarn co

My Winter sock set is now available! “Winter Sunrise” is inspired by a cloudless sky at sunrise over the ocean on a snow dusted beach. I’ve paired it with a mini inspired by driftwood. A sunrise means hope, and overcoming darkness, and in these dark days I felt like I needed a little light to help me through the darkness.

This set is what I would call a mini sock set — you get 50g of the main color and 20g of the contrast, which is enough for me to make a pair of socks with about a 5- to 6-inch leg and I wear a woman’s size 11 shoe, so it should be enough for most people to make full-size socks.

When I saw the Harvest Flower Sweater pattern by Jessie Maed Designs, I knew I had to knit it in my new non-Superwash Peace DK base, a 100% extra fine Merino yarn. When I tried to put my palette together, I realized I needed a few new colors to make my idea a reality, and since I wasn’t sure of exactly the neutral I wanted for the main color, I decided to dye a few.

The new neutrals are Barley, Platinum, and Parchment joined by a couple of other new colors — The Shire and Cider Donut — and some of my favorites: Deep Plum, Owen’s Red, Warm Honey, and Into the Woods.
