This past winter, I designed a new set of variegated yarns to work together as a rainbow. I named them after native New England plants because I’m one of those people that like to identify “weeds” when I’m walking in the woods. The spring vending season severely depleted my stock and they’ve finally made it to the webshop! They’re available individually (some on my Sparkle Sock base) and in 480-yard or 750-yard sets.
It’s beach season here in New England and I’ve stocked several of my favorite ocean/beach-themed yarns. Quahog State of Mind is included, previously only available at Rhode Island events!
My spring show season is complete! I’ve started updating the web shop with all the new things, including a bunch of new fibers in lots of fun colors. I’ve also moved some things into the clearance section to make room for even more new things.

Hi! I’m Chrystee of Play at Life Fiber Arts. I’ve been dyeing yarn and fiber on a small scale in Southeast Massachusetts since 2009. I spent many years juggling parenting duties, and working a day job while trying to keep my little yarnie business chugging along. I’m happy to still be at it and even happier to be able to pursue this as a full time gig now!
I focus on dyeing variegated and coordinating semisolid colorways on yarns and spinning/felting fibers. I especially love colorwork and fade sets, and I’m always coming up with new rainbows — brights, neons, dark, moody — I can’t get enough rainbows!
