We’re going back to Mount Rainier next week for Indie Untangled’s second retreat! Maribel of Rainier Roses was the perfect dyer to call on for the return to this majestic mountain for the August installment of the Knitting Our National Parks project.

The Conifer Collective, Megan of Huck & Rae Fiber Studio and Meadow of Spindrift Fiber Boutique — have collaborated on a special project called the Heritage Breed Box. They worked with local shepherds to source and developed a blend of Navajo Churro fiber that was spun into DK-weight yarn at a local mill. the 37th Lambtown Festival is coming up in a couple of weeks, on October 7 and 8. It takes place in Dixon, California, which is about halfway between the Bay Area and Sacramento in the heart of wine country (or is it wool country?).
