We’re entering fall Fiber Festival Season, which means that Lambtown is almost here! This fiber festival in Dixon, California, is celebrating its 38th year on October 5th and 6th. There will be plenty of fiber festival staples, including shearing and sheepdog herding demos, workshops and, of course, vendors — 75 of them bringing yarn and fiber, tools, handmade textiles, baskets, pottery, notions, skincare and more.

There will also be live judging of fleece, sheep, handspun and FOs, and a Sheep to Shawl competition on Sunday. Gather with your fiber friends and relax on the lawn to enjoy food, drinks and music. If you want to craft on the way, you can take the Wool on Wheels Bus from San Francisco and Oakland on Sunday. Discounted admission tickets are available in advance.

The September installment of The Knitting Artist’s Georgia O’Keeffe yarn club heads to the artist’s Ghost Ranch period and takes inspiration from the famous Ram’s Head, White Hollyhock-hills. The yarn will be available to preorder through this Sunday, September 22.

Wild Hair Studio will be vending at the virtual Wool and Fiber Arts festival on September 28.

  1. For me, you have always been a regular inspiration and motivator; you should be aware of the significant impact you have had on my career. You have been rather influential, as you should know.
