I’m so excited to announce the December solstice theme this year is nudibranches!
The most adorable and delightfully colour-hungry little sea slugs are getting a starring role! I don’t know about you, but with the way 2024 has been going, I figure we’re overdue for some happy and some colour. And wow do these little guys deliver!
I’m so excited to explore these gorgeous little creatures, and to lean into the vibrant brights, to present them in a way that is happy and filled with infectious joy, and still imminently wearable for you! As always, the colourways will tell a carefully curated story, and be ideal for knitting as a fade straight out of the box. Or you can swap up the order to create some fabulous stripe and colourwork options!
The solstice calendar will include:
~ 20x 20g mini skeins. They are designed to work together as a beautiful colour story, either in the order intended as a fade, or alternated to create gorgeous stripes.
~ 1x 100g skein, that coordinates with the minis and makes the whole collection sing!
~ A handmade linen project bag – strictly exclusive to this solstice calendar
~ A couple of quality surprises scattered throughout

The full-sized skein will coordinate with the minis, and be in the same base yarn.
All yarn is carefully and lovingly hand dyed by Jo in her solar-powered studio in small-town Aotearoa, New Zealand.
Each skein will come individually wrapped and numbered so you can play along and open a mini skein each day until the full-sized skein to celebrate the Solstice on the 21st…or you can open them all at once, or whenever and in whatever order you like — it’s your calendar and you’re the boss!!
Preorders for the solstice are open and will stay open until sold out. Numbers are strictly limited.
