I’m teaming up with my favorite project bag maker, Alisa of KnitSpinQuilt, for our third collaboration, the limited edition Stained Glass Window Kit. Preorders are open now in both our Etsy shops.
We were drawn to this rainbow stained glass print, which reminds Alisa of the medieval cathedrals she visits on her dissertation research trips to Europe. The yarn is dyed to reflect the fabric, with pops of vibrant color set off by the black window framing. We think this would knit up amazingly in a mosaic or slipped stitch pattern with a solid color, and Alisa is already contemplating making a shawl for herself. We’d love to hear your ideas, too!
THE BAG
You have your choice of either a medium (sock) or a large (shawl) drawstring bag.
The sock bag measures 10″ x 7″ x 3″. It will hold one or two skeins of yarn, great for a hat, sock or other small project.
The shawl bag measures 13″ x 8″ x 4″. It will hold two to four skeins of yarn, perfect for a shawl or small sweater.
THE YARN
You have your choice of one or two skeins of this gorgeous hand-dyed yarn. Deep Sock is a soft, springy 2ply yarn with great stitch definition. Next-to-skin softness makes it perfect for garments and the added nylon makes it suitable for socks and other hard-wearing items. These are 400 yards per 100-gram skeins of 80% SW Merino wool and 20% nylon.
