Three yarn updates in one go!!

Hello from a busy ECY Shedquarters. We took up a last-minute offer of a stall at a yarn show not far from us this weekend just gone and it was great to get back out amongst fellow yarnies. It was great practice for our next show which will be Yarndale on 23rd/24th September. If you will be in the UK that weekend it would be great to see you there!

We have been talking about our upcoming updates for quite some time and they have finally landed on the website for you. Carlisle Fingering, Rosedale 4ply and Lowther Lace have all been updated. In putting this together we realised that it has been two years since our last Lowther Lace update!! This yarn is supremely soft and cuddly. Seeing as it has been so long since our last Lowther Lace update I will start there. Lowther Lace is 75% Brushed Baby Suri Alpaca 25% Mulberry Silk, making it the ideal fluffy yarn for anyone sensitive to mohair yarns (like our very own Laura!). This yarn has more dense fluff than Eldwick Lace which also means there are less metres per 50g skein – 300m/328yds compared to 420m. We have blog posts introducing Lowther Lace and with Project and Pattern inspiration for it on our Yarn Specific Blog Post Index HERE. The colourways of Lowther Lace shown are Dyepot Luck and Bliss.

Carlisle Fingering is our Superwash extrafine Merino singles yarn. This has been a very popular yarn since we introduced it and so we have lots of pattern inspiration for you in our blog post. Colourways shown in the images are White Iris and Larkspur. Rosedale 4ply is our gold sparkle sock yarn blending extrafine Merino, nylon and Stellina. We have a yarn introduction blog post for this yarn and a Projects and Patterns blog post. All of these posts can also be seen on the Yarn Specific Blog Posts Index. The three updates are a mixture of variegated colourways amd semi-solids with plenty to choose from for all projects. The Rosedale 4ply colourways shown are Barn Door and Dahlia.

Recently we have been sharing our wholesale news with people. In the past few months we have sent hand-dyed yarn updates to Germany, South Korea and many places around the UK. In the past week we have sent out a restock of Milburn to Wool on the Exe in Exeter and a first shipment of Milburn to The Foundry Works in Rotherham. We also have hand-dyed yarn orders in progress for Seam Haberdashery and Loop which will be sent out in the coming month. Our new German stockist is working towards opening their store so we don’t have much information to share about them yet. Follow their Instagram @l.o.v.e.katy to see when the store opens.

As a special treat we have added some more yarns to our Reduced to Clear section so go check that section out for some bargains!
