My latest pattern, the Magic Dragon Shawl, is now available for sale. Inspired by “Puff the Magic Dragon,” this shawl has a dragon skin body that flows into a misty edging. It can be knit in DK, sport, or fingering-weight yarn and makes a great showcase for gradients.

Please join me for a KAL beginning September 1st in my Ravelry group, Heather Anderson Designs. The KAL features four shawl patterns: Spring Foliage, Summer Sun, Fall Shadows and First Snow. Each fingering-weight shawl varies in shape and design, some include beading options as well. All of the designs work up beautifully in gradients.

C. Whitney Knits and I are collaborating this spring! I’m hosting the Unlikely Friends KAL in my Ravelry group, Heather Anderson Designs, from April 1-May 15, 2015. This KAL features my two new shawl designs, the Fishtales Shawl and the Shoalmates Shawl. These shawls are suitable for beginners as well as experienced knitters. They can be (and have been) knit in multiple yarn weights, with multiple colors (including variegates), and with or without beads. They are quick knits and make great gifts to stash away for the holidays!
C. Whitney Knits has developed five exclusive colorways to complement this unlikely pairing of shawls: Nemo, Poseidon, Unlikely Friends, Mermaid Lagoon, and Loch Ness. Each colorway is available in a variety of bases and will be retired when this KAL ends.
