What to stash this week: Shop indie and save
New sales will be added through the weekend.
Every November, I think about what I want to do for the big holiday shopping kickoff weekend for Indie Untangled. Since I’m such a small business (my “stock room” is maybe about as big as a booth at a yarn festival!), I don’t provide discounts that often. But as a small business, I’m thankful for being part of such a supportive and enthusiastic community,…

What to stash this week: A chic yarn
Giulia and Stefania of Lanivendole collaborate with small producers to custom mill their own bases in Italy, and they sent me a huge box of A Chic Blend, which is a made up of 60% Abruzzese wool, 20% alpaca and 20% mohair. The yarn has a beautiful sheen and is the perfect balance of structure and softness.
Kate of McMullin Fiber Co has some beautiful yarn combinations with some great sales baked in….
What to stash this week: Holidays in Scotland
I’m thrilled to debut the new colors of the Harris Sling bag! This bag is a special collaboration between Indie Untangled and Adabrock Weaving Company, located on the Isle of Lewis, in Scotland’s Outer Hebrides. They are handmade, right down to the leather straps, by Chrissie of Pied Beauty Studios, my talented neighbor in Brooklyn. And, keeping it in the fiber community, the yarn ball tags inside are from Katrinkles!
The new colors are: Winter Moor,…

There is Jubilee Sock, a classic 75/25 Superwash Merino and nylon sock yarn.
In addition, I’m featuring her Soiree Fingering,…

If you’d like a yarny experience from Spain, Aitana Villa, who is based in Catalonia, has a 2022 Advent set available to order. Enjoy a treat each Sunday in December, with four skeins of yarn in special colorways on a variety of bases (including Merino/nylon, alpaca/Merino/cotton and mohair) and a special surprise on Christmas Day. There will be a shawl pattern to tie it all together and some extra goodies.

Pre-Rhinebeck Untangling: Yarn Social
This is the eighth in a series of blog posts featuring the fabulous sponsors of Indie Untangled, taking place on October 14, 2022 and online. Register free for the online marketplace, which runs through November 1.
A few years ago, I was wandering the aisles of the TNNA yarn industry trade show when I ran into Trish from my knitting group in New York City….
What to stash this week: Fall hues
Each year, I also get sizable shipments of yarn from dyers based overseas to showcase at, and on, Indie Untangled. I’m once again hosting skeins from Lanivendole from Italy. Giulia and Stefania sent three custom-milled bases, including A Chic Blend, comprised of Abruzzese wool, alpaca and mohair. To fit their lineup of Chic colorways, they created Borealis, a pale purple with tiny speckles of plum, blue and gold.
Borealis is my show special for Indie Untangled this year! …
