Before I launched Indie Untangled, I learned of Eden Cottage Yarns through a swap in the Yarn Hoars group on Ravelry. My Alaska-based swap partner listed it as a yarn she’d always wanted to try, so I happily browsed their website and grabbed a skein of bright purple laceweight and moody brown/gray fingering for my package. A couple of years later, Victoria was one of the first dyers I contacted about my new marketplace and she has been a consistent presence in this newsletter.
For this month’s installment of the Indie Untangled 10th anniversary series, Victoria is dyeing this floral-inspired colorway on two bases: Keld Twist, 83.3% Superwash Merino, 16.7% linen — an excellent warm-weather yarn — and Brimham DK, 85% Superwash extrafine Merino and 15% Nylon.
This colorway is available to preorder through next Sunday, July 21, and will ship 4-6 weeks after that date.

Andrea of WoolenWomenFibers is celebrating Christmas in July by opening preorders for her holiday countdown calendars. There are two different themes — a 24-day Rustic Farmhouse Holiday and weekly Holiday Sweet Treats — and one of them comes with a “charm tree.”

Eve of Holly Dyeworks has opened preorders for her Pride and Prejudice Yarn Collection. This collection includes full skeins, a mini skein set, a sock set and a book + yarn gift set.

Preorders for single skeins from the July installment of The Knitting Artist’s Georgia O’Keeffe yarn club are open through July 14. It’s inspired by the green and white jimson weed.
