We will be welcoming more than 40 vendors to the 11th annual Indie Untangled Rhinebeck kickoff, taking place Friday, October 18 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at HITS on the Hudson in Saugerties, NY. The vendor list is now up on the event page and includes both new businesses and familiar favorites: yarn and fiber dyers, hand spinners and producers, along with talented makers selling project bags, stitch markers, jewelry and other fun yarn-related accessories and tools.
We’ll once again be greeted in the Welcome Barn by Mitchell Wool Company, a family farm in Michigan that will be showcasing their growing line of American-grown yarn. When you’re not shopping, you can relax in our tented outdoor lounge, sponsored by our friends at Knitty City, and sample some aromatherapy by Scented Stitches. There will be seating areas throughout the property and a few fun surprises…
Tiered entry tickets will go on sale next Saturday, June 15 at 12 p.m. Eastern Time. Tickets will range from $5-$35 and include access to three accessible, open-air shopping pavilions from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. ($35, which includes an event tote bag filled with swag from our show sponsors), 12 p.m.-2 p.m. ($20), 2-4 p.m. ($15) and 4-6 p.m. ($5). We will be keeping an eye on the number of attendees and you may be able to re-enter the marketplaces as the day progresses — if you’re not too busy eating, crafting and enjoying a beautiful day in the Hudson Valley!
If you can’t make it to New York, you can still join the fun and browse products from our vendors from wherever you are via the Indie Untangled online marketplace. Online registration is free and will open on Sunday, June 16, also at 12 p.m. Eastern.
While we make our plans to venture to New York, it’s time for the next installment of the Indie Untangled 10th anniversary yarn series! The June colorway is from Lola of Third Vault Yarns, based in the UK. Lola started dyeing yarn and posting to the Indie Untangled marketplace in the summer of 2015. A lot of their colorways are themed around sci-fi and fantasy.
Lola’s anniversary colorway, Bloom, will be dyed on a blend of 80% Superwash British Bluefaced Leicester and 20% nylon in 4ply fingering and 100% Superwash Bluefaced Leicester on DK. Bloom is available to preorder through next weekend only!

Gabby of Plies & Hellhounds Yarn has opened preorders for her 2024 holiday calendars and she has boxes for both yarn crafters and spinners. The yarn box is speakeasy themed, with full skeins and optional mini-skein “garnishes” while the fiber box is moon themed.
