Here’s another great knitting trip to add to your list: Montreal with Explore Knitting Tours. From August 1–5, knitting instructor Marny Kindness and tour guide Lynn Ruggieri are putting together an amazing trip to the “Paris of North America.” You’ll stroll the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal, take in the breathtaking Notre Dame Basilica, check out the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and eat your way through a food walking tour. There’s even a stop at the Maisonneuve Market for a little French-inspired shopping.
Of course, yarn shops are on the itinerary, and you’ll also have knitting classes where you’ll create something inspired by the trip. All levels are welcome, so don’t worry if you or a companion is still mastering the craft. Your hotel, admissions, knitting classes and most of your meals are included in the tour price, so you can just relax, enjoy and pick up a few souvenir skeins.

Carolyn has opened preorders for Teal There’s a Cure, the first colorway in Olive & Two Ewe’s 2025 Cancer Awareness Series. Each 100-gram hank includes a matching cancer ribbon stitch marker and 25% of the profits go to a foundation supporting education, research and those affected by this cancer.

Bonus Stripes is Jody Weinmann’s first published pattern! It’s a relaxed drop-shoulder pullover inspired by some beautiful skeins of Murky Depths Yakima Fingering and Yakapaca.

It’s the last weekend to preorder the colorways from the Terrapin Fiberworks 2024 Steep Club, 12 months of coordinating tea-inspired yarn in a light and floral palette on cotton and cotton/linen blends.

There are only a couple more days to sign up for the Third Vault Yarns 2025 yarn club, with colorways will be inspired by The Wayfarers series, To Be Taught, If Fortunate by Becky Chambers and Lost In Space.
