Yarn Lounge was a blast last weekend. We are so happy to hear nothing but fun times and good reviews about Florida’s premier fiber event! Over 300 people joined us with projects in tow to meet and greet friends old and new, relax with a brew, and shop the awesome indie dyers, too.

June begins Hurricane Season for those who are in storm prone areas. It’s a time when our thoughts turn to storm preparedness and considering what our plans are should a “big one” come our way.

We know they’re coming, you know they’re coming.  Hurricanes make us sweat every year! Now that we’ve entered Hurricane Season 2023, we will prep for them as we do an unwanted guest and hope their stay is short and non-destructive!

But what do yarnies do in the face of crisis? We stitch! Ewe So Prepped,  a hurricane prep box for yarnies, will show up at your home stocked with yarn and other goodies and items you’ll reach for during a storm. We admit, some of the items are a little tongue-in-cheek, but some are truly practical and they’re all fun! And, as you’ve come to expect, included will be a link to some suggested patterns. Select your yarn base and number of hanks and be ready to ride out the storm, or stand in solidarity with those who are. No need to live in hurricane alley to enjoy the box!
