Support your favorite indies at Rhinebeck!
Over the past few months, I’ve been plotting much more than the sweater(s) I’m going to debut at Rhinebeck and my plan of attack for minimizing time on the artichoke line. Ever the enabler, I have actually found a way to give you more great things to buy the weekend of the NY Sheep and Wool Festival…
I’ve gotten together several of our favorite Indie Untangled artisans, and I’m organizing a trunk show on Friday,…

What to stash this week: Summer knitting
I don’t know about you, but I am definitely in a Knit All the Sweaters mood this week (it may have something to do with the Waterlily currently sitting on my blocking board!!). I’m in the middle of compiling a list of summer sweater patterns for an upcoming blog post and Hanna Maciejewska’s Endearment will definitely be on that list.
The pattern will initially be offered exclusively as part of a kit sold on The Uncommon Thread’s website starting Monday,…

What to stash this week: Bag some bags (and yarn, and fiber)
I am SO excited for Vicki of That Clever Clementine: this week, she reached her 500-sale milestone on Etsy! What’s even better is that she’s offering 15% off all orders of $20 or more through June 10 with the code IndieUntangledJune. To celebrate, she’s also having a fun photo-related giveaway on Ravelry.
Speaking of giveaways, check this post for info on the last leg of the Berry Colorful Yarnings/Indie Untangled social media tour….

What to stash this week: tennis, anyone?
I should probably get to swatching for my Waterlily (I plan to start it soon, but also need to finish the Aphasia I’m knitting in honor of a friend’s wedding), but if I had time to knit All The Things, I’d get Sarah Hurwitz’s Creamsicle on my needles right away. The sample is shown in Kettle Yarn Co. Wimbledon, a superwash Merino sport, in Sorbet and Melon Balls,…

What to stash this week, new edition
One of the things I love about my “day job” as a journalist is spreading the news and telling people’s stories. This week, I get to introduce you to several artisans who are brand new to Indie Untangled and are also fascinating, talented folks.
One of these dyers is Sandra of Duck Duck Wool. Last year, she became very popular among my knitting friends, and she was recently profiled in a wonderful Washington Post story on DC-area artisans (it’s so refreshing to see knitting and dyeing getting some great press)….
What to stash this week, launch edition
Over the past few weeks, the Indie Untangled marketplace has been filling with posts from more than a dozen incredibly talented dyers and crafters. And while I was tempted to scoop up nearly everything, don’t worry—there is plenty available for you to buy.
Here’s the first round-up of some of the shop updates, sales and sign-ups you should pounce on:
Pictured above is Sunday Best, a new base by UK-based dyer The Uncommon Thread (seen here in the Lust colorway)….
