We are thrilled to welcome back Mitchell Wool Co. for their third year at Indie Untangled! This Michigan-based family farm produces plant-dyed yarns in a variety of weights from sustainably-raised, traceable American flocks. They also offer witty organic cotton tees and sweatshirts, stash bags, project bags, wooden tools and notions, and stickers.
Here are some of the new products they’re bringing to the show this Friday.
Gather – Camel, Suri, Mohair Yarns
Limited quantities are available of Mohair Sock (75% 18.2 micron American Rambouillet blended with 25% mohair), Suri Alpaca DK (60% USA-raised Suri Alpaca and 40% 18.2 micron American Rambouillet) and Camel Bulky (60% American Camel, 40% 18.2 micron American Rambouillet)
Currents Sweater
Crystal Hyatt of Factory Girl Designs designed this circular yoke pullover with Gather Suri Alpaca/Rambouiller DK and Spincycle Yarns Dream State, blending the rich textures of two remarkable yarns. This size-inclusive pattern fits chest sizes of 29.5″-72″. Sizes 9-12 receive a discount of 10% for equitable yarn pricing. Mitchell Wool Co will have kits at the show. They will have two sizes per kit in stock. When they sell out, your yarn will be dyed to order within two weeks of the show.
This bundle includes three mini skeins of 2 ply United Pastures Cashmere/Cormo yarn — a collaboration between Mitchell Wool Co and Clean Cashmere — a custom stitch marker set made on the farm and some Soak wash. The pattern is sold separately.
Kits feature one 150-yard skein of Mitchell Wool Co’s American Fiber Rambouillet and camel yarn, a custom stitch marker set made on the farm and some Soak wash. The pattern by Crystal of Factory Girl Designs is included with this kit.
This bundle includes one 50g skein of 2-ply Mitchell Wool Co brown Cormo worsted and three mini skeins of 2-ply American Fiber Wool yarn in Barn Kitty, Storm Front and Lamb. There is also a faux fur pompom and a custom stitch marker set made on the farm.

Cindy’s Clutch – Project Pouch
This small grab-and-go pouch is just the right size for a 2-3 50g skein project. Mitchell Wool Co. also designed a leather handle that minds your colorwork, with brass grommets to separate up to four strands of yarn from lace to bulky weights.
It’s made of sturdy twill with a fabric drawstring top and waxed cotton body, with a fun contrasting cotton lining.
The perfect bag to fit an adult sweater project and all the skeins needed to make it. Each pocket was thoughtfully designed, from a short pocket for Tuft hand balm, one for your stitch counter and one for a folded pattern. It holds pencils, needles and everything else you might need — including some chocolate.
