Showing AT Haynes House Yarns

Recently, Terri met a group of knitters that liked purling better than knitting. And she gasped and clutched her pearls… until she stopped and thought about it. What so bad about purling? Is it that you have to slow down to purl? Is slowing down a bad thing or does it help us more be present in our project?

Introducing Purl Clutch, a two-color, DK-weight shawl that will help you embrace your purls or love them even more. Don’t be afraid to pair your highly variegated or speckled colorways with this one. AT Haynes House Yarns has created a collection of colorways that are perfect for Purl Clutch. The Nervous Nilly collection include four colorways based on when the Haynes are uneasy.

The pattern and colorways are available here.

Washington, DC (AKA Chocolate City), is bursting with Cherry Blossoms. Cherry blossom trees were first donated to United States as a gift of friendship from the Japanese people in 1912. Each year, the cherry blossoms bring visitors to the Tidal Basin to see the blooms at their peak. Now you can bring the blooms to your stash.

AT Haynes House Yarns was captivated by this beauty and created the Cherry Blossom Chocolate City colorway in celebration of this yearly explosion of cherry blossoms. Each of our colorways come with a story:

AHHY Colorway Story: This colorway is in honor of the cherry blossom trees in Washington, DC, also known as “Chocolate City.” Cherry and chocolate make a delicious colorway.

This colorway is available in the shop until the last day of the Cherry Blossom Festival, April 16th. We have both Ready to Ship and Dyed to Order options. And if you like to have your yarn match your project bag, check out our Knot Your Bag from Uncle Brian’s Bags.

Add this beautiful, blooming yarn to your stash before April 16.

Join us for a day of fiber fun as we celebrate World Wide Knit in Public Day, a fundraiser for Project Knitwell. This is free to the public and will include a marketplace and knitting and crochet instruction.

Bring a chair or a blanket, a friend and your current project to stitch in the Plaza at the National Harbor, Maryland. The event will feature a marketplace of local fiber businesses, opportunities to learn to knit/crochet, door prizes, and a silent auction to raise money for Project Knitwell.

We strongly encourage attendees to wear a mask and maintain proper social distancing while in the vendor booths and when in close proximity to others.

This event is free to the public but registration is required. Also, if you would like to volunteer, please check the volunteer box on the registration form. Register here.

We’ve got some new colorways in the shop right now:
-I’m Not a Beaver
-I Forgot to Tell You
-Don’t Mess with Tonya
-The Same Thing
-Unicorn Tears

If you would like to get the story behind the colorway names, check out my YouTube channel. There are also some bags listed in the shop. It’s also a good place to hear about all the fun things that happen at Haynes House.

New products will be added to the shop on Fridays at 9 a.m.
