Fuse Fiber Studio has launched a new website! New Fingering and DK yarns are in stock now! Shop updates are announced on Instagram @fusefiberstudio.

I’m Rebecca Picoult, the owner/dyer behind the brand, and I love playing with unique and unexpected color combinations and treat each skein of yarn that I dye like its own work of art. My colors are always based on things that have special meaning for me — places I’ve traveled, my favorite books, funny family memories and my favorite things in nature. Every color tells a story. My goal as a dyer is for people to find something in my colors that resonates with them and sparks their own happy memories and feelings.

We hope you find something that speaks to you, and helps you tell your story! Happy Knitting!

It’s the first Friday of a new month which means a new Harry Potter club color is being released in the shop and we are dyeing up all of our Harry Potter colorways to celebrate! There will be eight Harry Potter colorways going into the shop on a variety of bases, including newly-released the April 2017 Club colorway, Beauxbatons, and a new Halloween colorway called Dementor’s Kiss. The shop update is 8/4 at 5PM CST. This is the perfect time to get a skein or two for one of the many Harry Potter KAL’s currently running. And of course, September’s Harry Potter Mystery Club spots are available as well for those of you who like a little mystery!

Are Ewe Feeling Sheepish? has joined my flock of sheepy patterns on Ravelry, with plenty of time to knit it for Rhinebeck! It is knit in worsted weight, in one piece, top down, with no seaming, and can be made for a woman or a man. Join us for a fun Sheep-A-Long in my Ravelry group, Let’s Knit Together, where you can knit any of my sheepish patterns. I have two adult sweaters (and one more on the way!) and three baby sweaters (with a fourth on the way that includes big kid sizes, too!). Cast on day is August 15th, and we’ll have a Sheepish meet-up for everyone going to the Indie Untangled Trunk Show, and another at Rhinebeck. I hope to see you there!

The Regency Collection is a series of colors inspired by the world of Jane Austen and this edition is completely inspired by Lady Catherine de Bourgh

Colors will be available on two of my yarn bases First you have the option of choosing my Snug Base which is 75/25 SW Merino/Nylon fingering weight; 462 yds/ 100 grams per skein. Or you can pick my Shimmer Base which is is a singly ply fingering yarn that is a blend of 95/5 SW Merino/ Stellina; 400 yards/ 100 grams per skein.

Colors Included in this edition starting from light to dark: A prettyish kind of wilderness, Obstinate, headstrong girl!, Shades of Pemberley, Lady Catherine de Bourgh, & I am most seriously displeased.

A little about these colors: the first three colors are similar in nature and make for a very lovely fade. A prettyish kind of wilderness starts with a white base which progressively gets more gray by the third color which is Shades of Pemberley. All three of these colors are splattered with various shades of blue, green, and purple.

The fourth color in this collection starts with a deep purple base and has splatters of the same colors as seen in the first three colors with a touch of some darker shades of gray and black. And the fifth color in this collection is a lovely purple tonal that ties together all the purples that can be found in each of the other colors. Please keep in mind that there are no dye lots and that color distribution will vary greatly from skein to skein when placing your order.

This is a pre-order that will be available on the website from July 24-August 13, 2017 until 8 p.m. EDT. All orders placed for these colors during this time will ship sometime in November 2017.

As much as I love garter stitch, I need to add a little something to keep my interest. Fun but not too hard is my main designing mantra.

Watch Hill is a sideways knit shawl featuring garter and slip stitch sections. The end section is worked in a slip stitch mesh. Knit in two contrasting colors of fingering weight yarn, Watch Hill is a quick knit and a great way to try out slip stitch color work.

This shawl requires two colors fingering weight yarn, approx. 400 yds/365 m each. I knit my version in OInk Pigments Targhee sock in the colorways Dragon Scales and Silver Lining.

For our newest project kit, we’ve chosen our super-soft yak and Merino blend yarn to create a snuggly friend using a quick & easy knit pattern by Frankie Brown that’s great for knitters of all skill levels!

Each kit includes a pattern, 1 skein of Himalayan Trail yarn in Natural Brown, poly-fil stuffing, and a small amount of black yarn to embroider the features. BONUS: We’ll send you a coupon for 20% off your next order when you share your finished BBR Teddy bear on Instagram with #bijoubasinranchbear in your post!

At the request of the designer, Bijou Basin Ranch will be making a donation to her favorite charity, the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation, for the use of her pattern.
