What to stash this week: Squeeing for fall

I had a bit of a fangirl Squee this week when I confirmed the newest vendor for the Indie Untangled pre-Rhinebeck trunk show. Hold onto your hand-knit hats, because it’s none other than… Anne Hanson! Yes, this uber-talented designer will be bringing her Bare Naked Wools, a line of natural, dye-free wools created at American mills. I am SO excited to meet Anne and the rest of the Bear Naked Wools team….

What to stash this week: Get your yarn ball on

Thanks to the success of the Indie Untangled/That Clever Clementine collaboration and a couple of special requests, Vicki and I decided to expand the range of yarn ball logo goodies.

There are a few new additions to the IU/TCC “family,” including three new bag styles that are perfect for your medium- to large-sized projects. We’re excited to introduce the Pandora Poke, a 11″ wide by 11″ tall bag,…

What to stash this week: Fall is coming

I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty psyched that fall is almost here (though I do need time to start my Rhinebeck sweater, so I’m hoping August doesn’t go by too fast). While I’ve loved knitting at outdoor concerts and in the park, I am also getting really inspired by all the fall colors that are popping up on the marketplace.

If you’re looking to put some sparkle in your fall wardrobe,…

What to stash this week: homegrown

One of the things I really love about running this site is when a new-to-me dyer submits their first post. I click on their shop link and I’m just blown away by the color and creativity. This week there were two dyers who popped up on my radar as I was formulating my plan for this week’s newsletter. Their stories are really cool, and I can’t wait to see more from them….

What to stash this week if you’re not at ‘Unwind’

If you’re a knitter and live in the UK, you’re probably not planning to do much online shopping this weekend. I would certainly love to be knitting by the Brighton Pier, taking a shawl class with Veera Välimäki and meeting all the lovely Indie Untangled artisans who will be selling their wares, such as Victoria of Eden Cottage Yarns. But you should try, as I have, to click off the tab for Unwind Brighton and head over to some other dyers’…

What to stash this week: Geeky goodness

Louise, AKA The Cryptozoologist has taken her yarn to a new “level.” Her shop has been updated to include 100% British BFL Aran-weight skeins, with some more fun video game-inspired colorways. Pictured is a colorway representing Team Inferno from Robot Unicorn Attack II. There’s also Carbuncle, named for Final Fantasy 8′s little green pixie pal. I also discovered a Game of Thrones colorway called Stormborn, named for our favorite Khaleesi….

What to stash this week: Bag some bags (and yarn, and fiber)

I am SO excited for Vicki of That Clever Clementine: this week, she reached her 500-sale milestone on Etsy! What’s even better is that she’s offering 15% off all orders of $20 or more through June 10 with the code IndieUntangledJune. To celebrate, she’s also having a fun photo-related giveaway on Ravelry.

Speaking of giveaways, check this post for info on the last leg of the Berry Colorful Yarnings/Indie Untangled social media tour….

What to stash this week: black sheep yarn

In case you haven’t heard, there’s a giveaway going on here on Indie Untangled. While you’re waiting to see if you’ll be one of four lucky winners, take a look at some of the other things on offer from our talented artisans. It might not be free, but I’m sure your shopping experience will be just as satisfying.

I love all the things that I am discovering through Countess Ablaze‘s Twelve Caesars Collection updates….

What to stash: Get your sharp little needles ready

OK, so I might not be quite so obsessed with Wes Anderson that I would drop over a grand to go on a Grand Budapest Hotel-themed cruise cruise (no, I did not make that up), but I am super excited about the Canon Hand Dyes Wes Anderson updates. The first one is happening TODAY at noon PDT, and it will have six-color self-striping skeins and six-color gradient sets inspired by the movies Bottle Rocket and Rushmore….
