Janis of Queen City Yarn recently launched a new non-Superwash base called Latta, a 3-ply sportweight yarn that’s comprised of American-grown Merino/Rambouillet. She’s dyed it on a range of saturated colors that make it great for colorwork — she even has a few pattern suggestions. They range from soft grays, purples and blues to vibrant Barbie pink that you could easily wear to your second or third viewing of the Barbie movie. And, as Janis notes, non-Superwash yarns allow the wool to retain its temperature-regulating and moisture-wicking abilities, so it’s ideal for warm and cold-weather wear.
Tanya has opened orders for the Cornbread and Honey Advent box, which has a Boho theme. It includes 25 skeins of yarn in either fingering or DK dyed in a variety of styles, with plenty of goodies tucked in.
Forget “Who wore it better?” Carolyn is reimagining one of Olive & Two Ewe’s legacy colorways, Carnival Cotton Candy, once dyed by Michelle. Will Carolyn dye it better? Preorder the colorway and find out!
Meg of Megs & Co is also launching a new non-Superwash yarn base and it’s milled locally, in her home state of New York! Ellis is a light fingering weight blend of Rambouillet and Finn wool, which Meg has dyed in a range of more than two dozen tonal colors that range from soft pastels to rich jewel tones.
