It’s not just PSL, boots, and sweater season – it’s time for the all-new Fall Collection from Bad Lux Designs!

Spicy and sweet seasonal colors on Fingering and DK weights have just been stocked and are ready to join your cozy Fall creations. This collection was specially dyed to work in a colorful concert no matter which colors are paired together. Each color is also a rich portrait in itself, offering variegation or light speckling depending on your mood. I can’t wait to see what inspiring autumnal creations you have in store for this palette!

September 28th is coming up and guess what? It is my wedding anniversary!

I like to spread the joy I feel in my life and crafts so on that day only EVERYTHING in my store will be 20% off! You won’t need any code, the discount should be applied automatically at checkout. Of course if there are any issues, please contact me so I can solve your problem as quickly as possible.

Also, I have restocked “Hot Summer”!
It is available both as yarn and fiber and, like all of my products, is hand-dyed and handspun.

Finally, I’d like to introduce my Ravelry group to you, the Fiberdog Fibers Ravelry Fiber Pack. The goal of this group is to create a community where fiber crazy people like you and me can meet and share our joy. Share projects, help each other when we are stuck somewhere, just generally support each other. I will share updates to the shop there, but you don’t have to be a customer to be part of that group (though I would certainly appreciate it 😉 )

I’m looking forward to sharing my fiber passion with you!

Visit Sew Happy Jane this weekend for a discount on a dyed-to-order selection of DK yarns perfect for knitting the River’s Edge pattern collection by Hanks and Needles.

After a year of dreaming and scheming, Heather Best of Sew Happy Jane and Makenzie Alvarez of Hanks and Needles are thrilled to finally share the results of a special collaboration.

Inspired by the quiet banks of a winding river, the River’s Edge Cardigan and Hat patterns echo the flowing life and serene landscape of a river bank. Makenzie’s goal was to balance simplicity and flow to showcase a tonal hand-dyed yarn with this seamless design. The cardigan begins at the collar and winds its way down the back with a flowing cable panel that is easy to work via chart or written instructions. Using an innovative method you’ll work the collar and the body all at the same time and the finished garment will be a classic you’ll reach for over and over.

Not quite ready to commit to a cardigan? The single skein River’s Edge Hat will give you the perfect opportunity to play with cables again or try your hand at them for the first time.

Heather has put together a thoughtful palette of colorways perfect for showcasing the River’s Edge hat and cardigan. The dyed-to-order listing will feature a selection of options at a discounted price on a choice of three DK base yarns. Choose from Delightful DK, Delightful Tweed DK, and the new Dreamy MCN DK. Shown in colorway Electric Raspberry.

The pattern is available on Ravelry, and LoveCrafts for 25% off through the weekend.

This is our very first Advent Calendar, we’ve been eager to make one since we started our own yarn production, for many reasons, from celebrating childhood memories to making a very special color collection inspired by winter and Christmastime… but truly in this so troubled and scary year we wanted even more to celebrate and share some sheer joy, and this seems quite the perfect treasure to make and to give.

We’ve had tons of ideas to theme this special event, but at last we thought that yarn had to be the focus, our hand-dyed colors had to tell our story, and a few treats had to be the fun and extra delight. So we worked on a bundle of hand-dyed shades to cheer up winter days, and bless both the snowy skies and cozy fireplaces; we got inspired by the atmosphere of simple bliss and intimate happiness that we feel gathering with our loved ones, just for the sake of staying together and enjoying the moment.

We chose to use A Chic Blend for the yarn base, which is our most iconic perhaps, fluffy and warm on one side, and carrying a quite good yardage to be used in plenty of patterns requiring color playing.

For the treats included, we worked again with the talented Carla of @laboratorioindie to make the cutest stitch markers we’ve ever handled, all molded and engraved by hand, in shiny metal, inspired by the mood that will accompany this whole bundle.

Please make note of a few useful information about the Calendar:

Listings will be visible on our Webshop from September 18, 18.00 h CEST.
Listings will be open until September 30, unless they go sold out before; shipping will be scheduled in early October.
Each box will include 24 mini skeins of 20g – 90m + 1 full skein of 50g – 225m of our A Chic Blend fingering yarn, a blend of Italian Wool, Mohair and Alpaca in hand dyed hues, inspired by this special time of the year, and a set of hand molded stitch markers by Carla of Laboratorio Indie, realized especially for this edition.

I’m happy to announce my latest sweater design, Variation on a Twist. It is a top down, short-sleeved pullover with gentle waist shaping that leads to a slight A-line silhouette. A long-sleeved option is also included in the pattern. A simple garter and twisted stitch pattern adorns the yoke with only one color is worked per round. The short-sleeved version is perfect for the summer into fall transition or can be used as a layering piece in winter to add a touch of color to your wardrobe. The long-sleeve version results in a casual, cozy garment perfect for those gray, winter days.

This sweater is designed to be worn with 0” to 4” of positive ease. There are 18 sizes ranging from 32″ to 66″ finished bust circumference. Gentle waist shaping gives way to a slight A-line look at the hips resulting in an approximate 2” larger hip circumference than the bust circumference. Three additional options for body shaping are provided in the pattern along with the two sleeve-length options.

Variation on a Twist works up quickly with a stitch pattern that is easily memorized and once completed, results in rounds of soothing stockinette stitch. Both sweaters are knit up in Marianated Yarns Playtime DK; a wonderfully scrumptious superwash merino base that has a lovely drape and softness. Marian has put together kits for the sweater on her website or you can choose your own color combinations.

Autumnal Equinox Hat and Autumnal Equinox Mitts are debuting Friday, September 11th. These patterns are being featured at Knits & Knots Tahoe for the Sierra Nevada Yarn Crawl. Kits including the yarn and pattern can be purchased from Knits & Knots Tahoe.

The perfect hat and mitts to keep you cozy while you sip on the warm fall beverage of your choice. A row of cute acorns runs just above the hat brim and along the center of the mitts. The acorns are formed by slipped stitch cables with seed stitch and are framed by columns of simple cables. The hat is a standard beanie, but if you prefer slouchy beanies there are instructions included to make the hat longer. Grab a PSL or a hot apple cider and knit yourself a festive fall accessory set. One skein of fingering-weight yarn will be enough yarn to make both the hat and the mitts!

Vakyrie Fibers dyed up two perfect fall colorways Woodland Realm (shown in photos) and Mirkwood. These are available on a Fingering Weight BFL Tweed base exclusively from Knits & Knots Tahoe for the kits!
