I hope you all are as excited about the Summer of Indie Love Swap as I am! There’s nothing I love better than getting a little surprise in the mail and with all the amazing indie artists to choose from, all of the swap items are sure to be amazing. If you’re stumped for gift ideas, I’m of the opinion that everyone could always use a little something sweet. Whether you go with a lip balm, a lotion bar, or a set of three sample-sized lotion bars, some naturally moisturizing, lanolin-rich Sweet Sheep products are sure to be appreciated by any swap participant!

As a special just for you guys, receive 20% off your entire order using the code ‘indieswap1’. This code can be used as many times as you like through August 20th. Please note that I’ll be on my honeymoon for the next 2 weeks (squeeeee!) but my Etsy shop will remain open and I’ll ship your items as soon as I can when I return the week of August 4th, in plenty of time for the August 25th swap deadline.

Happy swapping, Indie lovers! Stay sweet.

I am pleased to be a part of Indie Untangled and in the midst of such creative fiber shops!

Winemakerssister is a shop for fiber lovers and friends of fiber lovers. I don’t sell the yarn or fiber, I sell the goodies to make your life more fun.

About a week ago, a lovely regular customer came to me with a problem. When a pattern said, “knit to marker 3,” she’d like to actually have a #3 marker in that spot. So I put together two slightly different sets — one with tiny seed beads and one with tiny glass crystal beads. Both sets are available in rainbow colors or a single color. And as with all my stitch marker sets, the rings are continuous so everything is non-snag.

Canon Hand Dyes is thrilled to announce the launch today of an IndieGoGo campaign to help fund a studio move and expansion. I started Canon Hand Dyes in 2011 in the kitchen of my apartment, and have slowly grown, and grown, and grown. I am still a one woman operation, and am badly in need of a larger studio and at least one more set of hands to help me do what you all love, but faster! There are perks that all of you self-striping sock lovers and mini skein addicts will love, so please check out my campaign here!

A little something for those of you not on the way to Unwind or Fibre East this month!

I’ve released my Brownlow Wristwarmers a bit early and am offering the pattern free with purchase of the TWIST and HEATH fingering skeins needed for the pattern in the Etsy shop until the end of July.

The blends will be at both shows if anyone is hoping to pick colours in the flesh and the pattern will be free with purchase at the shows as well.

The pattern is available now on Ravelry!

Hi there!

I’m a little bit tired but so happy because I loooove this shop update. I just listed more sock yarn in the brightest colors ever, on a BFL and silk blend that almost looks like it glimmers, some Perendale sourced from NE of the Sierra Nevada in California and the classic Merino. Here is a glimpse of what I have available now in my shop.

To help you all celebrate this weekend, receive FREE shipping on any orders over $10 from now through Sunday (the 6th). Use coupon code: CELEBRATE!

I have many new “patriotic” button sets in the shop as well, Yay!
I actually have a couple more sets that I just finished today and I’ll be adding those to the shop in the next couple days as well. Also, if you see a button or set of buttons that you really like but the colors just don’t match, let me know and I’ll be happy to customize them for you! (No extra charge either ; )

Have a wonderful weekend!

We’re excited to announce our Montadale Baby has grown up to become Montadale Light! It is the same light yarn, not scratchy and (if you must) machine washable. We just opened our eyes to how nice it is and why should babies get it all? So, we have new colors to add to the soft baby palette and — don’t faint — they are up on the web site!

We’re also busy dying lots of roving for the Tour de Fleece! Keep an eye on the website for more stock begin added regularly. We have natural color roving, dyed in the wool roving, and hand-painted roving.

Perfect for summer knitting: our Targhee 3 ply is light, feels like cotton and it’s on sale! This yarn was spun with some nylon added so it can be used in socks, but is really nice for a light shawl, a lacy open work tunic, even a tank. This is the last of our first spin batch of this yarn. We need to finish it out before we introduce the next one. Get it while it lasts!

Going live at Countess Ablaze on Friday 4th July at 7 p.m. UK time is Nero, the sixth installment of the monthly series The Twelve Caesars Collection. An array of dark moody colourways juxtaposed with the bright and the crazy will be available on both yarn and fibre to celebrate the emperor Nero who reigned the Roman Empire from 54-68 AD. As usual, colourway names are taken from Suetonius’ biographies.
