To celebrate the launch of Indie Untangled, I’m giving away a Yarn Knot kit from the next installment. Yarn Knot is my quarterly yarn subscription, and the next round will ship in May. To enter the giveaway, hop over to the website and sign up for the newsletter. The winner, chosen at random, will be selected from the recent newsletter sign-ups. The contest closes on Friday, April 25.

On Saturday, April 26, you’ll find me at the Connecticut Sheep, Wool & Fiber Festival. In addition to the vendor market, this event includes workshops, sheep dog demonstrations, a fleece sale and other activities. I’ll be in the Green Building with a selection of new colorways and kits.

Everyone always talks about “no strings attached” like that’s necessarily a good thing.

But when it comes to project bags, I like mine to stay securely closed — and that means good strings must be attached!

So yes, indeed, this Flash Sale has plenty of strings attached! From now until Monday, every drawstring project bag in my Etsy shop is 10% off — if you know the special coupon code!

That means that the Belles, the Pandoras, and the Cindy Sues are all discounted; minimum purchase of $30 applies.

Sale starts: Right Now!
Sale Ends: Monday, 4/21/14

I’ve just released a few new colorways in Lillian. Since spring is slow to make an appearance this year, these new colors are a fun way to add a touch of spring to your knitting.

A true sign of the season is the Great Rhody Yarn Crawl, which is happening this weekend in Rhode Island. On Sunday, I’ll be on hand at the marketplace at Mount Hope Farm. If you’re in the area, try to take advantage of this event. It’s a great way to support local yarn shops and fiber artists.

There are still some spots left for the 2014 Woolen Rabbit yarn club, which will feature a Once Upon A Time theme. Six popular designers—including Bonnie Sennott, Veera Välimäki and Rosemary (Romi) Hill—have agreed to join along and create a pattern from one of their favorite fairy tales or fables. See more information here.

Above are photos from last year’s club, which featured designs inspired by the Roaring ’20s.
