I don’t know about everyone else, but I am ready for a spring craft refresh: a new fluffy lightweight yellow sweater, a spring robin cross stitch project, or maybe a cute forest pom pom animal made with my leftover yarn from winter projects.

Head over to the Red Hen Books website to see what’s new. Whether it’s knitting, quilting, cross stitch, embroidery, weaving, kids crafts, there is so much craft to learn and explore.

Come explore Italy with us for an eight-day Umbria treasures tour! Often called Italy’s green heart, Umbria borders Tuscany and is known for its medieval hill towns and spectacular scenery.

Visit the ancient city of Perugia and the Renaissance capital of Florence, with day trips to Assisi, Gubbio, and Torgiano from October 25-November 2, 2025. Tour guide Lynn Ruggieri is a dual citizen of Rhode Island and Perugia, Italy where she resides part time. Marny Kindness, a knitting instructor and knitwear designer, also resides in Rhode Island. Lynn will take you on a unique and special tour of these Italian cities. You will enjoy wine tasting and a tour of a family-owned vineyard, and view spectacular cathedrals, architecture, art, shopping, incredible food, and culture. This year, we will be taking a pasta-making class! And let’s not forget the incredible gelato.

We will stay in luxurious historic hotels embellished with ancient frescos and unforgettable panoramic views. We travel by comfortable coach, and you will explore Italy from a native’s perspective. We will visit an original working loom studio from the 18th century and Italian yarn stores in Florence with the latest European yarns. Marny will teach you knitting techniques influenced by Italy and we will create knitwear inspired by our travels. Classes are modified to accommodate all levels of knitting. Non-knitters are welcome.

Hotels, transport by coach, admissions, knitting classes, and most meals included. See the website for details and FAQs. We hope you will come to explore with us this fall for an unforgettable adventure!

Gorgeous new sock sets have just landed in the shop, and we’re shining a spotlight on some of our favorites — our mesmerizing self-striping sock yarns, the innovative Freia Solemate (so you can knit two identical socks with ease!), and all the must-have sock-knitting notions, including the ever-popular Build a Sock modular sock blocker kits and adorable sock-themed bags!

A huge thank you for the overwhelming response to our February Cancer Awareness Series colorway, Mean Green Fighting Machine! 💚 If you haven’t snagged yours yet, don’t wait — there are only a few hanks left in the shop! So many took advantage of our monthly 2025 Cancer Awareness Series monthly yarn subscription; a great way to keep the meaningful colors coming!

Your support means the world to us and we are so very grateful. Thank you!

At Olive & Two Ewe Studios, we believe that every stitch has the power to make a difference. Our 2025 Cancer Awareness Series is a year-long tribute to those affected by cancer, with each month featuring a hand-dyed colorway dedicated to raising awareness and support.

For February, we’re turning our attention to gallbladder and bile duct cancers, those often overlooked yet deeply impactful diagnoses that deserve greater recognition and funding. This month’s exclusive colorway, Mean Green Fighting Machine, is inspired by the resilience of those facing these lesser-known cancers and the hope that research brings to finding better treatments.

Each 100-gram hank comes with a custom cancer ribbon stitch marker and an informational card about rare cancers to help spread awareness. Plus, 25% of the profits from this colorway will be donated to a foundation dedicated to rare cancer research and support.

Additionally, by virtue of customer demand, we’re now offering a subscription so that you can be certain to receive each month’s colorway throughout the year!

Join us in stitching for a cause — together, we can shine a light on the cancers that need more attention and support.

It’s time for the February edition of the Pablo Picasso Yarn Club and that means a new painting and yarn! This month we are featuring this impressionist painting from 1900 of a Parisian night club — “Moulin de la Galette.” The yarn features a pop of red with a variations of browns, yellows and greens throughout.

Customers may pick from any of my bases for their yarn and must place orders by February 23rd. All orders ship between February 28th and March 2nd (likely closer to 2nd, as February is a short month).
