At Olive & Two Ewe Studios, we believe that every stitch has the power to make a difference. Our 2025 Cancer Awareness Series is a year-long tribute to those affected by cancer, with each month featuring a hand-dyed colorway dedicated to raising awareness and support.
For February, we’re turning our attention to gallbladder and bile duct cancers, those often overlooked yet deeply impactful diagnoses that deserve greater recognition and funding. This month’s exclusive colorway, Mean Green Fighting Machine, is inspired by the resilience of those facing these lesser-known cancers and the hope that research brings to finding better treatments.
Each 100-gram hank comes with a custom cancer ribbon stitch marker and an informational card about rare cancers to help spread awareness. Plus, 25% of the profits from this colorway will be donated to a foundation dedicated to rare cancer research and support.
Additionally, by virtue of customer demand, we’re now offering a subscription so that you can be certain to receive each month’s colorway throughout the year!
Join us in stitching for a cause — together, we can shine a light on the cancers that need more attention and support.
It’s time for the February edition of the Pablo Picasso Yarn Club and that means a new painting and yarn! This month we are featuring this impressionist painting from 1900 of a Parisian night club — “Moulin de la Galette.” The yarn features a pop of red with a variations of browns, yellows and greens throughout.
Customers may pick from any of my bases for their yarn and must place orders by February 23rd. All orders ship between February 28th and March 2nd (likely closer to 2nd, as February is a short month).

Inspired by a vibrant day spent wandering the woods and soaking in the changing light and colors, the Woodland Wander Cowl is designed to highlight your favorite hand-dyed yarn pairings. This cowl is knit flat on the bias and seamed together at the end for effortless styling. It features slipped stitches and textured stitches to add interest to the stripes as well as i-cord edges for a polished finish. It’s perfect for an adventurous beginner. Skills: knit, purl, increase, decrease, mattress stitch.
The pattern image is shown in Sew Happy Jane’s Delightful DK in the colors Spruce and Leaf Peepers, which are currently available for preorder. The kit includes the PDF pattern and two skeins of yarn.
Visit my website to shop for other seasonally inspired perfect pairings. This pattern works well with both high and low contrast yarn pairings to create a completely different effect, so don’t be afraid to experiment (or try using mini skeins for the stripes!).

Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be about candy hearts and chocolates. In our house we always celebrate Balance Times Day — this is what my daughter thought the day was called when she was just learning to talk. It sounded so absolutely perfect we decided to keep it. Ten years later this is still our holiday. The themes of this collection are sweet colors, pretty patterns, and celebrating the quiet moments and practices — like fiber crafts — that keep us balanced in our lives. The collection includes new Simple Project Bags in pretty linens with lovely floral accents. I also added new Double Triple Zipper Bags — two zipper bags joined to form a third snap-close pocket between them. They’re great for keeping your project bits and pieces organized, and also make a great travel organizer. One would make such a sweet gift for someone you love.
There are also a few stitch marker sets and lavender hearts filled with 100% organic French lavender. Pop one into your project bag, your drawer, or your closet. They’re also a lovely small gift. I hope you’ll find something you love, and have a happy Balance Times Day!
