Lately, it’s been all about the llama drama around here. I discovered this gorgeous fabric months ago and have been saving it for just the right moment to turn it into a fresh batch of project bags. Winter Llama Drama features the sweetest llamas bundled up in bright magenta scarves against a rich blue background.

My bestselling medium zipper wedge project bag is the star of this release. It’s perfectly sized for a three‑ to four‑skein knitting or crochet project and includes a secure zipper closure plus a removable fabric wrist strap. Every bag is carefully sewn by me in my home‑based studio in New Orleans, Louisiana.

For those who love coordinating their project bag with their knitting or crochet, I’ve got you covered. I dyed up a vividly variegated yarn on my standard fingering‑weight base, a durable blend of 70% Superwash Merino wool and 30% nylon that’s perfect for socks. Hat and mitt makers will be happy to know this colorway is also available on my ultra‑soft Superwash worsted‑weight base, and it feels as good as it looks. I’ve even added a few fingering‑weight mini sets to the mix.

Inspired by vintage style postcards, our 3.5 x 5.5 inch postcards are printed on extra sturdy, recycled paper stock with algae based inks. Our bamboo stickers are roughly 3 x 4 inches, die cut, with permanent adhesive to stick to paper, wood, metal, plastic, and more! The Redbud tree is the harbinger of spring in my area. Bursting with white, lavender, but predominantly fuchsia blooms, the trees put on quite a show against the otherwise drab, dry, and dormant landscape.

I spotted some on a walk this week — well, they’re not hard to miss! — and was inspired to play with their colours. Fresh from the dye pots, I offer you assigned pooling “Redbuds in Bloom,” a highly tonal speckled “Just the Blossoms, Please,” and a semi-solid “Bark,” all in a gorgeous BFL/silk fingering sock yarn.

What makes it so charming? It’s naturally dyed, resulting in soft but rich colors. It’s non-Superwash, so the minimal processing keeps it close to its original nature. Meadow Rustic Sport also blocks fantastically (seen here in the Tearmann and Artus shawls).

But the best news? Its gauge-changing powers! Use at 24-26 sts/4 in for projects such as the Lunenburg pullover. It also knits up to 20-22 sts when you need Sport or DK yarns (Engi, Missoni Accomplished). It will even transform to take on Worsted gauge at 20 st/ 4 in for Ilya!
